KANSAS—34 year old Ginny M. Griffith’s performs her own “pest control” after spotting a spider in her duplex. She sets house on fire to kill the spider.
After 5 firetrucks, the fire was put out. Soon after, police would find out the cause of the fire. It was to kill one single spider.
She had taken towels and had thrown them on the spider. She lights the towels and they begin to burn. And so does her home.
She is being held on a $7,500 bond on aggravated arson charges.
No one, including the other people who occupied the other half of the duplex, was injured, and the fire was extinguished in minutes without causing structural damage. -Time
