CONCORD, N.H. — Chikungunya, the virus, is making it’s rounds in the United States. 2 cases were just discovered, after Georgia had claimed a victim in it’s state just a few weeks ago.
Chikungunya is caused by mosquitoes bites, and the cure has not been found.
“The Department of Health and Human Services says the two people recently traveled to the Caribbean, where the mosquitoes have been found, and that there is no concern for local transmission because the types of mosquitoes that carry the virus have not been found here.” -Wcvb.com
So please take precaution, and make sure to have properties controlled by pest control, wear repellant, and remove any stagnated water if all possible.
